The Millefiori technique, used to create these amazing pendants for necklaces, begins with the production of thin glass canes or rods that are bound tightly together then cut into sections when cold, then rounded when hot.
The canes or rods, called murrine, are thinly sliced and in layer fashion, pressed onto beads or other forms while the glass is still hot. Unique, handcrafted, and fashionable, Murano jewelry is today very appreciated. A rhodium plate fine finish, also included, gives to the silver jewelry a luxury white gold appearance.
